TOYODA Family 

Tatsuro Toyoda was a prominent Japanese businessman who served as the president of Toyota Motor Corporation from 1992 to 1995. He was the son of Kiichiro Toyoda, the founder of Toyota, and played a significant role in the company's growth and expansion.

Born on June 12, 1929, in Nagoya, Japan, Tatsuro Toyoda joined Toyota in 1952 and held various positions within the company. He was known for his expertise in international business and played a key role in expanding Toyota's operations overseas.

In 1984, Toyoda was appointed as executive vice president of Toyota Motor Corporation, and in 1992, he became the company's president, succeeding Shoichiro Toyoda. During his tenure as president, Toyoda oversaw the expansion of Toyota's production facilities and the introduction of several new models, including the popular Camry sedan.

He was also a strong advocate for environmental sustainability and played a pivotal role in developing Toyota's hybrid electric vehicles, including the Prius.

After retiring as president in 1995, Toyoda became a senior advisor to the company and continued to be involved in various philanthropic activities. He was also a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Japan Business Federation and the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association.

Tatsuro Toyoda passed away on December 30, 2017, at the age of 88. His contributions to Toyota and the automobile industry as a whole are widely recognized, and he is remembered as a visionary leader who was committed to innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility.

After completing his education, Toyoda joined his father's company and began working as an engineer. He was fascinated by the emerging field of automobile technology and began to experiment with designing his own engines and vehicles.

In 1933, Toyoda established a new company, which he named Toyota, to develop and produce automobiles. He was inspired by the success of American automakers and sought to create a Japanese car that could compete with the best in the world. In 1935, Toyota launched its first model, the A1, which was a significant milestone in the development of the Japanese automobile industry.

Under Toyoda's leadership, Toyota grew rapidly and became known for its innovative production techniques and commitment to quality. In the 1950s, the company introduced the Toyota Production System, which revolutionized the way automobiles were manufactured and became a model for other industries around the world.

Toyoda was also a strong advocate for research and development, and he established the Toyota Research and Development Center to support innovation in the industry. He remained involved in the company's operations until his death in 1952, at the age of 57.
